For over twenty years, Lakeside Car Rental has been renting cars to travelers in the Detroit area. Although I had never heard of Lakeside Car Rental (just like I’m guessing you have never heard of them), because they were recommended to me by a close friend, I decided to give them a shot.
Before I actually made my reservation, I spent a few minutes looking through their website. The first thing that stood out to me was that they offer unlimited mileage. While many of the large rental car companies will try to squeeze out every cent possible, it was nice to see that Lakeside Car Rental is more concerned with keeping their customers happy. In addition to their unlimited mileage policy, Lakeside Car Rentals also accepts cash and debit cards, which I know is a huge help for many travelers (myself included).
After browsing around their website, I decided that they looked like a solid choice, so I went ahead and made my reservation. When I arrived in Detroit, the car I had reserved was waiting for me at Lakeside Car Rental, and I didn’t encounter any problems with the car during my five day trip.
