When you think of places to go on vacation, Detroit may not be the first destination that comes to mind. However, even though you may not have considered taking a trip to Detroit before, it is actually a very enjoyable place to visit. In case you’re wondering, I’m not some sort of spokesman for the Detroit Tourist Board. However, I am a guy who took a trip there recently, and because I had such an enjoyable time, I want to share my experience with all of you.
The reason that I went to Detroit was to attend the annual Spirit of Detroit Music Festival. If you have never heard of this festival before, it features a very wide variety of different music. Whether you are into blues, country, jazz or hip-hop, this festival features artists and bands from all kinds of music genres. I like a wide variety of music, so I found this festival to be extremely enjoyable.
Since I wanted to be able to easily get from my hotel to the festival, I got a car rental for myself when I arrived in the city of Detroit. This made the issue of transportation quite simple to handle.
