During the holiday season, I got to spend time with just about everyone in my family. Because I can legitimately say that I like the members of my family (sure, some of them are quite quirky, but I still enjoy spending time with them), the holiday season was quite nice.
Although I got to spend time with just about everyone, there was one member of my family who I did not get to see. The person who I didn’t get to see during the holidays was my cousin. This may sound surprising, but she was actually on a work trip during the holiday season. My cousin has created an amazing life for herself, but she works extremely hard, and sometimes she has to make these kinds of sacrifices.
Because I really like hanging out with her, now that she is back in Detroit, I decided to get a rental car and go visit her. The drive to Detroit in my rental car actually wasn’t that long, and getting to spend some time with her (when she wasn’t working) was definitely worth the time that it took me to get to Detroit.
