During the holiday season, I got to spend time with just about everyone in my family. Because I can legitimately say that I like the members of my family (sure, some of them are quite quirky, but I still enjoy spending time with them), the holiday season was quite nice.

Although I got to spend time with just about everyone, there was one member of my family who I did not get to see. The person who I didn’t get to see during the holidays was my cousin. Because I really like hanging out with her, now that she is back in Detroit, I decided to get a rental car and go visit her. The drive to Detroit in my rental car actually wasn’t that long, and getting to spend some time with her (when she wasn’t working) was definitely worth the time that it took me to get to Detroit.

Like just about every year, Christmas was a whole lot of fun this year. I honestly don’t understand how there are people who legitimately don’t like Christmas. I guess they have just had a bad experience or something, but I think that Christmas is such an amazing time of the year.

In addition to getting to spend a lot of time with the people who I care about the most, I would be lying if I said that I didn’t get excited about opening my presents, along with watching other people open the presents that I bought for them. It’s fun when a gift really surprises you, and it’s also a lot of fun to watch when a gift really surprises someone else.

Out of all the gifts that I received this year, there was one that really stood out. The gift that landed at the top of my list was a gift certificate for a Detroit luxury car rental. Since I live in Detroit, I am going to be able to use this gift certificate at any time during the upcoming year to rent an amazing car for a full day. I’m not sure what type of car I’m going to rent (the certificate allows me to choose the one I want), but I do know that I’m going to plan a really fun day when I do redeem my certificate!
